Our experienced CAD designers create detailed 3D models of your jewelry piece using advanced German CAM software. Every dimension, curve, stone placement, and surface detail is mapped digitally before any physical work begins. You review and approve the 3D render before we proceed.

Once the CAD design is approved, a precise wax model is created using high-resolution 3D printing or hand-carved wax. This wax model becomes the master template for casting. A rubber or silicone mould is then made from this model — enabling consistent, repeatable production across your entire batch.

Using the lost-wax casting method, molten 925 sterling silver (92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper alloy) is poured into the plaster mould at precise temperatures. Once cooled, the mould is broken away to reveal the raw silver casting. Every piece is cast using hallmark-grade, nickel-free 925 silver — the only base metal that qualifies for true vermeil certification.

After casting, the raw silver piece contains casting sprues (excess metal stubs) and surface roughness. Our skilled artisans carefully file away the sprues, grind down rough edges, and sand the surface through multiple grades of abrasive tools. This stage requires patience and precision — rushed filing at this stage leaves permanent marks that no amount of polishing can fully correct.

For vermeil pieces that include gemstones, stones are carefully set into the silver base before gold plating begins. Our in-house gemstone bench holds over 250 varieties of natural and lab-grown stones — allowing precise matching of color, cut, size, and quality to your design specification. Settings are checked under magnification to ensure every stone is secure and perfectly aligned.

Before gold plating, the silver piece undergoes a thorough pre-plating polish. This removes any remaining surface irregularities and creates a clean, smooth base for the gold layer to bond to. The piece is then ultrasonically cleaned and degreased to remove all contaminants — any surface residue at this stage causes the gold plating to peel or blister prematurely.

This is the defining step of vermeil manufacturing. The prepared silver piece is submerged in a gold solution and an electric current deposits a layer of real gold onto every surface. We use precision German plating machinery and premium Swiss plating solutions to ensure uniform thickness, consistent color tone, and strong adhesion across every piece in the batch.

After plating, each piece receives its final finish. Depending on your design specification, this may be a high-mirror polish, a brushed/matte finish, or a combination of both. Polishing post-plating requires careful technique — aggressive polishing removes the gold layer, so our artisans use soft polishing tools and compounds specially suited for plated surfaces.

Every finished piece passes through our multi-stage QC inspection before packaging. Each item is checked against the original design spec, measured for gold thickness, and tested for structural integrity. Only pieces that pass every checkpoint are approved for packaging and export dispatch.
